Intellectual Property in the Space Sector – Session 1 of 2
For the fourth consecutive year, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) are co-presenting training and awareness activities for SMEs currently involved in space activities and to SMEs of high technology sectors interested to do so.
The global patent filing related to various areas of the space sector has consistently grown over the last 40 years, according to the report Patents in Space released by the CIPO. It has been recognized that in general, firms that protect their intellectual property (IP) are more likely to increase their revenues through leveraging of their IP assets, than those that do not. SMEs that patent their inventions have a stronger tendency to become high-growth firms and to export.
In this context, your company is invited to attend a two-session webinar offered by CSA and CIPO experts to enhance your knowledge on IP strategy, technology transfer and commercialization in a business environment.
