Intellectual Property (IP) rights and standards can be used in combination to gain a competitive advantage. You can influence a standard with your technology, certify your product, or embed your patent in a standard.

In this seminar, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) will give you an overview of patents, standards and how you can benefit from their overlap to maximize the value of your innovation.
